THE Hinigaran police conducted paraffin tests on the bodies of the lovers found dead along the highway of Barangay Barawis, Hinigaran.

The test was conducted by the Bacolod City crime laboratory on Wednesday, the result of which is not yet available as of press deadline Thursday.

Investigation disclosed the victims -- Agustin Gan, 32, a marine engineer of Barangay Himaya and Leizel Sudayan, 25, a teacher of Hinigaran Institute, of Barangay Paticui both in Hinigaran -- quarreled inside Ganís Isuzu Carry pick-up at 7 p.m. Monday before the shooting happened.

Senior Insp. Placido Composa, town police chief, revealed Sudayan suffered a gunshot wound in her left abdomen while her boyfriend sustained a gunshot wound in his head.

Both victims died on the way to the Hinigaran Health Center.

Gan allegedly shot himself after he accidentally shot his fiancee using a .9mm caliber pistol while in a heated altercation.

Gan reportedly wanted to return to Manila to process his papers but Sudaya reportedly would not allow him, and this led to the quarrel.

Police recovered one .9mm pistol, two magazines, one slug, two cellular phones and the loversí several personal belongings inside the vehicle.

Village official Raul Paharillo of Barangay Narawis turned over the vehicle to the Hinigaran police station.
