Estrada doctor wants him to stay at Makati hospital

JAILED ex-president Joseph Estrada should be confined at the Makati Medical Center, his doctor recommended to an anti-graft court Monday after doing tests on the ailing former leader, GMA Network's radio station dzBB reported.

Estrada underwent (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) MRI and CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) tests at the Makati hospital earlier on Monday, before his return at Camp Capinpin in the municipality Tanay in Rizal province where he is presently detained.

"According to the doctors it was quite serious and could paralyze the (former) president," said Jose "Jinggoy" Estrada, who accompanied his father.

Doctor Lorenzo Jocson was quoted as saying that Estrada, who had complained of lower back pains, had a problem in his pelvis.

Estrada was allowed to visit his ailing mother, Doņa Mary Ejercito, Sunday morning in her home at the municipality of San Juan. He stayed there until Monday morning.
