MANADO DEPORTS 10 PHILIPPINE FISHEMEN

Manado - The immigration office in Manado, the capital of North Sulawesi, in the past few weeks was reported to have deported around 10 Philippine fishermen to their own country for illegal entry into Indonesian territorial waters.

A senior official of the immigration office, Muhammad Sulaeman, said here on Thursday that the deported Filipinos who were caught poaching in Indonesian waters had no legal documents.

Most of the 10 fishermen were drop outs of the Junior High Schools in that country, so the immigration office had difficulty in communicating with them.
